With over 10,000 Facebook fans, Sunfood continues to be a leader in the raw food community.

SAN DIEGO, CA - February 25, 2010 - In an effort to create engaging, meaningful relationships with like-minded people, authorities, companies and farms in the raw, organic, sustainability and superfood communities, Sunfood launched a Facebook fan page in January, 2010. After only 45 days, Sunfood's fan page has received huge success with over 10,000 highly-involved fans.

Eager to contribute to the raw discussion, Sunfood fans continue to prove that they are a community of well-informed individuals, willing to share their personal experiences and best practices for a healthy life, while Sunfood provides educational information, topical discussions about products and trends, photos, videos and various other aspects of raw living.

"It's exciting to see the response we've received in such a short period of time. The Sunfood fan page isn't just about eating raw, but also strengthening our community through lifestyle discussions. We've connected with our fans on a new level and look forward to creating new outreach efforts within Facebook during the upcoming months. Sunfood Raises Over $6,000 for Haiti Relief Efforts in One Week

Grassroots efforts by Sunfood's staff and community lead to large Haiti relief donation.

SAN DIEGO, CA - January 27, 2010 - Within 24 hours of the January 12, 2010 earthquake in Haiti, Sunfood sprung into action knowing that they were in a unique position to positively impact the relief efforts. Committing to donate 10% of all sales January 18, 2010 through January 22, 2010, over $6,000 dollars was raised and donated to the International Rescue Committee.

"We know our community well and we knew that they'd support this effort in a heartbeat. We called on our marketing team at Mindgruve to put out the word and the effort took off," explained Brian Bowers, Sunfood's Director of Product Development. Sunfood sent out several emails, posted on their Facebook and Twitter pages, and put up banner ads throughout their site to alert shoppers that a portion of their purchase would go directly to the relief efforts. In each extension, Sunfood also urged their community to spread the word through any and all channels, and their community responded.

Sunfood saw daily spikes in sales which led to a growing donation over the course of the week and resulted in a total donation of over $6,000. The money donated to the International Rescue Committee will be used for emergency health, shelter and child welfare among other efforts.
