Things get "raw" on SCI FI's Newest Reality Show
Los Angeles - San Diego native David "Avocado" Wolfe stars as himself - a raw food naturist - in SCI FI Channel's newest reality series, Mad Mad House, along with a Vampire, a Voodoo Priestess, a Wiccan and a Modern Primitive. The series premiered Thursday, March 4th at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
Mad Mad House is Survivor-meets-The Real World-meets-The Osbournes, where five genuine practitioners of "alternative lifestyles," referred to as Alts, are the judges of ten conventional house guests - from a janitor to a Bible belt hunk - who undergo a number of tolerance-testing activities.
In the ten episode series, the Alts judge the guests to determine their openness to, and tolerance of, alternative lifestyles. After a process of elimination, the winner will ultimately walk away with a six-figure prize.
"Avocado" has done more than anyone to bring the raw food diet to Hollywood and has coached celebrities such as Woody Harrelson, Alison Lohman and Alicia Silverstone. He has been "raw" - meaning he doesn’t eat any cooked food - for over ten years and eats only living, organic plants and vegetables.
