Tocotrienols: Super Source of Vitamin E

Vitamin E is an essential nutrient. An essential nutrient is something that is required by our bodies, but that our bodies cannot create, so we must get it from dietary sources. Vitamin E is necessary for the formation of our muscles, tissues and red blood cells.

Vitamin E can help build and maintain, beautiful skin and supports eye health. It is also a powerful antioxidant, helping to neutralize cell-damaging free radicals. Plus, vitamin E can boost the immune system and improve circulation.

How does it do all of this? Much of the power of vitamin E comes from something called tocotrienols.

What are Tocotrienols?

Vitamin E is primarily made up of two fat-soluble antioxidants called tocopherols and tocotrienols. Until recently, much of the research being done on the health benefits of vitamin E was focused on tocopherols, but then experts discovered that tocotrienols are 40-60 times more powerful than tocopherols.

It turned out that one of the best sources of tocotrienols was rice bran. So a cutting edge process was created to mechanically separate the rice bran, which paved the way for rice bran solubles, also called, tocotrienols.

Benefits of Tocotrienols

Tocotrienols are not only a potent source of vitamin E, but also contain a variety of essential nutrients to properly fuel a healthy body. Providing a full protein complement, vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids, this whole-food complex is highly beneficial for those looking to boost to their nutritional protocol. Tocotrienols help the body use vitamin A, maintains the integrity of cell membranes and contributes to healthy skin and hair.

Vitamins

Vitamins help regulate our metabolism, assist the body in the formation of tissue and bones, and help convert fat and carbohydrates into energy. Here are just a few of the vitamins found in tocotrienols:Vitamin A , vitamin B1 , vitamin B2 , vitamin B3 (Niacin), vitamin B5, vitamin B6 , vitamin C , vitamin D, vitamin E, and more.

Minerals

Minerals allow the body to assimilate vitamins and are the building blocks of our bones, muscles, blood, nerves and tissues.

Here are just a few of the minerals found in tocotrienols: calcium, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, manganese, copper, iodine, along with many other trace minerals.

The Sunfood Difference

Be wary of synthetic vitamin E supplements. Our tocotrienols are isolated directly from rice bran and contain all four tocotrienols: alpha, beta, gamma and delta, making it a whole-food source of vitamin E.

Many vitamin E supplements on the market today do not contain all four tocotrienols and are processed at high temperatures and may contain artificial additives and fillers.
