Vitamin E is an essential nutrient. An essential nutrient is something that is required by our bodies, but that our bodies cannot create, so we must get it from dietary sources. Vitamin E is necessary for the formation of our muscles, tissues and red blood cells.
Vitamin E can help build and maintain, beautiful skin and supports eye health. It is also a powerful antioxidant, helping to neutralize cell-damaging free radicals. Plus, vitamin E can boost the immune system and improve circulation.
How does it do all of this? Much of the power of vitamin E comes from something called tocotrienols.

What are Tocotrienols?
|
Vitamin E is primarily made up of two fat-soluble antioxidants called tocopherols and tocotrienols. Until recently, much of the research being done on the health benefits of vitamin E was focused on tocopherols, but then experts discovered that tocotrienols are 40-60 times more powerful than tocopherols.
It turned out that one of the best sources of tocotrienols was rice bran. So a cutting edge process was created to mechanically separate the rice bran, which paved the way for rice bran solubles, also called, tocotrienols.

The Sunfood Difference
|
Be wary of synthetic vitamin E supplements. Our tocotrienols are isolated directly from rice bran and contain all four tocotrienols: alpha, beta, gamma and delta, making it a whole-food source of vitamin E.
Many vitamin E supplements on the market today do not contain all four tocotrienols and are processed at high temperatures and may contain artificial additives and fillers.
