Description
100% Certified Organic Maca Extreme
Maca is a root vegetable grown in the Peruvian Andes. It was sacred to the Incas and has been used as a food and medicine in South America for centuries. It is well known for its ability to help enhance strength and endurance; in fact, Incan warriors would often consume maca before long journeys and battles. Maca Extreme is a micro-pulverized, highly absorbable, 4:1 concentration of the most important elements in maca - a little goes a long way! Maca Extreme contains less starch than standard maca, making it ideal for those with difficulty digesting certain types of vegetables.
The Sunfood Difference:
Traditionally, maca powder is made by grinding up sun-dried maca roots. Our Maca Extreme is created using a cold-drying process with fresh maca roots, generating a uniquely powerful concentration not found anywhere else. Sunfood Maca Extreme can be used in place of or in combination with regular maca powder in all recipes.

I love this product, and it is true that a little goes a long way. I take about 1/2 tsp - 1 tsp of this powder and 1 tbsp of the regular maca. This ones seems so smooth though. (Posted on 11/28/11)Rating - Not for me Review by Bonnie

I really love what maca has done for me, so I decided to try the Maca Extreme. This product was way too intense for me. Even if I took a small amount, it gave me something close to a panic attack. I called Sunfood and they said this is good for people who are more athletic. I'll stick with the regular maca. Thank you. (Posted on 10/13/11)Rating
