- very versatile food Review by rebecca

This is my first time using the sprouted chia seed, ground. I Love regular chia seeds and consume them daily in a breakfast combo I make which includes-(all organic ingredients)chia seeds, buckwheat groats, hemp seeds, nut milk, cinnamon, raw pumpkin seeds, sliced raw almonds, wild blueberries, and a little coconut sugar or a few banana slices. Delicious! I tried substituting the sprouted chia in this cereal and it was pretty good but not as tasty as usual. It adds a more nutty/green taste instead of the neutral taste of my regular chia seeds. I next tried it in my morning smoothie, which includes-(organic ingredients) amazing grass orac powder, frozen wild blueberries, acai puree, sun warrior protein blend, a little unsweetened coconut milk and ice cubes, it was a much better fit in the smoothie and I really enjoyed it and it helped me stay satiated longer. I am going to try it out in my banana bread recipe next, I think it will be good. Overall a great, very healthful addition to your daily diet. (Posted on 12/18/12)Rating
