Sacha Inchi (also known as the Inca Peanut or Inca Nut) is a star shaped seed from the Amazon. It is a highly digestible source of protein, and contains the essential fatty acids omega 3, 6 and 9. Sacha inchi has been used by Amazonian cultures for hundreds of years for its anti-aging and nutritional properties. Many indigenous tribes dating back to the Incans have used Sacha Inchi for its health-giving assets. Sacha Inchi is over 60% complete protein; containing all the essential amino acids needed to build muscle. Sacha Inchi is harvested from star-shaped seed pods growing on vines in the Peruvian Amazon.
