Wild-Crafted Cat’s Claw Herbal Tea
Cat's Claw is an Amazonian herb that derives its name from the claw-like thorns that grow along the vine, which can climb as high as 100 feet. The alkaloids found in Cat's Claw are best known for nutritionally supporting the immune system. In traditional practices, Cat's Claw has also been noted for its anti-viral capacity, as well as its potential to relieve arthritic symptoms and improve digestive health.

Unlock the Secrets of Powerful Herbal Teas
Cat’s Claw is astringent and slightly bitter. Steep 1/2 teaspoon in 8oz hot water for at least 10 minutes. Cat's Claw also makes a fantastic base to cacao drinks. Simply add cacao powder and blend. Also adding some form of sweetener (such as yacon syrup, agave nectar, raw honey, lucuma, etc.) makes a wonderfully tasting beverage. Adding lemon juice when heating can help extract more alkaloids and less tannins from the bark. Use about 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice per liter of water. You may also add 1 tablespoon of Pau D'Arco to the Cat's Claw tea to make a traditional Shipibo Peruvian tea.
