Matcha Shortbread Cookies With Chocolate Glaze

Matcha Shortbread Cookies With Chocolate Glaze

May 30th 2021

Matcha tea powder is one of our favorite superfoods to use in cooking.

Matcha powder is made from ground green tea leaves and lends itself well to treats like cookies, tarts, cakes, and even croissants as well as smoothies and refreshing beverages. We love its beautiful bright hue and subtle green tea flavor. Sunfood Matcha Powder is pure organic matcha.

Matcha powder adds the most beautiful hue to desserts.

Matcha Shortbread Cookies are great to enjoy during any season but especially the holidays. We added traditional chocolate and white chocolate glaze to make them more festive. You can skip this step or go all in and see which version is your favorite. These cookies will be a great addition to your holiday table, an afternoon tea break, or will make impressive home-baked gifts.

You can also use Matcha Powder to create a matcha glaze that looks beautiful and bright. To create a basic icing, mix the confectioner's sugar with water and matcha powder, and then glaze over any pastry.
