Chocolate Superfood Popcorn

Back to school can be a huge adjustment, especially when it comes down to keeping everyone healthy, happy, and on a schedule. To help you with this transition, we’ve created a light, healthy, perfectly sweet + savory snack that takes no time make, no time to prepare, and no time to eat! We found a loophole in the vast world of snacks: Chocolate Lover’s Popcorn!

Ideal to pack in lunches or to have for an after school/after work treat, we use our Chocolate Superfood Smoothie Mix, which has 13 nutritious superfoods with an extra dash of pure cacao. Thanks to cacao, besides this being delicious, it is also possible to enhance energy, mood, and sense of well-being–all things that will definitely help you get back into the swing of things! Organic Chocolate Superfood Smoothie Mix Organic Sweet Cacao Nibs

 

Chocolate Superfood Popcorn

Serves: 2 Cooking Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup popcorn kernels
  • 2 Tbsp coconut oil
  • 3 Tbps Cacao Powder or Chocolate Superfood Smoothie Mix
  • 3 Tbsp Sweet Cacao Nibs
  • 2 Tbsp maple syrup/honey (optional)
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

Heat oil in a sauce pan on mid to high heat.

Add in a single layer of kernels and cover with a lid.

Shake popcorn frequently not to burn any kernels and transfer popcorn into a bowl when there is only 1 second between each pop!

Toss fresh popcorn with Cacao/Superfood Mix and salt, then sprinkle with nibs and salt.

Drizzle maple syrup/honey on top and enjoy!
