When did you realize you needed superfoods?
I started to pay attention to the number of superfoods I was consuming when my schedule got busier, and I stopped having time to cook nutrient-rich meals. I noticed a decline in my energy and overall health, so I started eating superfoods to incorporate essential nutrients into my diet. Superfoods make it easy for me to get in my nutrients without having to cook an entire meal.
What was going on in your world that caused you to come looking for superfoods?
I started exploring the world of superfoods when I began focusing on my nutrition a few years ago. I discovered these nutrient-dense foods and fell in love with their benefits. Working full time means I need to have healthy options on the go; including superfoods into my diet lets me know I’m giving my body what it requires to function at its best.

How do you include superfoods in your diet?
I love adding superfoods to my smoothies. I do this either by adding maca, matcha, hemp seeds, or Camu Camu to the smoothie mix or by topping my smoothie bowls with cacao nibs, goji berries, and pumpkin seeds. I also love having a matcha a few times a week instead of coffee!
What are your top 3 favorite ways to practice self-care?
My favorite forms of self-care are engaging in painting or drawing, doing some form of skincare, or laying in the sun with a good book or podcast.
What does a typical day in your life look like?
A typical day in my life looks like waking up early and stretching/doing yoga, setting my intentions for the day. I usually go to the grocery store and find recipes to make. I love taking long walks along the river to get my steps. I also try to make room every day for self-care and time with friends if I can manage! I’m usually in bed early with my favorite crime shows on!
Any advice or words of encouragement for others?
My best advice for anyone is to find what makes you feel happiest, most alive, and keep doing it. Keep seeing the people who leave you feeling on top of the world. Trust your instinct and know that all of your feelings are valid. You are your own greatest gift, so don’t be afraid to indulge in yourself.
