Tahini Hot Cocoa with Plant-Based Whipped Cream

You may know tahini as a key ingredient in your favorite hummus or dressing, but have you ever paired tahini with chocolate? This Tahini Hot Cocoa by @cafewithmay will change the way you see tahini. It’s earthy and nutty tones balance perfectly with the rich sweetness of the cacao. Trust us, you’re going to love it.

INGREDIENTS

1 ½ cup plant-based milk

2 tbsp  Sunfood Cacao Powder

2 tbsp tahini

2 tbsp honey or agave

⅛ tsp cinnamon

⅛ teaspoon  Sunfood Pink Himalayan Sea Salt

½ tsp vanilla extract

Dollop of plant-based whipped cream

Sprinkle of  Sunfood Cacao Nibs

METHOD

  1. Mix all ingredients other than the whipped cream and cacao nibs on a stove at high heat until it comes to a boil.
  2. Pour into a cozy mug, top with a liberal helping of vegan whipped cream, and sprinkle with cacao nibs.
  3. Enjoy!
