What was going on in your world that caused you to come looking for superfoods?
I felt that I wasn’t consuming all of the daily nutrients that my body needed, mainly plant-based and teaching fitness classes. I would feel a lack of energy and tired from teaching my fitness classes due to my not getting the daily nutrients that my body required while being on a plant-based diet.

How do you include superfoods in your diet?
I always include Sunfood superfoods in my pre- or post-workouts smoothies to make sure I’m hitting my protein and nutrition levels.
What does a typical day in your life look like? From the moment I wake up, I hit the ground running by making a healthy elixir or plant-based protein smoothie. It helps keep me active, especially on days when I need that boost to get through the day. I love practicing yoga or getting my heart rate up from spin or HIIT classes.
Any advice or messages of encouragement for all the men and families out there? Health and fitness shouldn’t be compared or measured as one size fits all. It’s all about making progress, and at the end of the day, you’re the total sum of what you decide healthy feels like to you.
